Fire rated curtains and the smoke curtains of San.Co on IoArch magazine.
The fire rated curtains and the smoke curtains of San.Co, brand of Zanini Porte group, have been told in the new issue of the architecture magazine IoArch. This issue is dedicated to solutions for offices and commercial buildings, projects in which San.Co has years of experience in supplying fireproof doors both in wood and glass.
The fire rated curtains are an interesting novelty for the fire safety of internal spaces in public and commercial buildings. A CE marked solution, truly innovative compared to the now obsolete fire water curtain systems: the fire rated curtains are wrapped into a box and automatically start operating at the alarm signal, isolating the areas and making the area safe. This solution also guarantees significant financial savings compared to traditional curtains with a water system.
They are available in different fire resistance classes and combine reliability and aesthetics in a single product, as well as a valid alternative in situations where the use of fire doors and gates can be more complex such as shopping centers, supermarkets or department stores. The smoke curtains are also CE marked and can be fixed or roll-up: they are necessary to convey the fumes that develop in the event of a fire towards the evacuation channels provided for in the fire prevention project.
San.Co fire rated curtain is available in different classes based on fire resistance:
• fire curtains EI 120 ′
• fire curtains EI 60 ′ in the innovative single-curtain solution
This series of products can have different uses and can be used for various types of buildings (museums, department stores, shopping centers, etc.). Furthermore, thanks to their compact structure, they do not require much space to be installed and at the same time guarantee an excellent guarantee of safety.
The technological evolution has made it possible to develop perfectly autonomous closing elements which are classified according to current regulations and can be CE marked.
